My sister is a world traveler and garden designer. In her travels she has collected photographs of masks from other cultures and the ones shown here range in age from 400 AD to the present. These masks were behind a glass case; the photographs were taken Rob Rensing (www.sunflowerinn.ca). Because masks were traditionally used by shamans in the context of community, and often for purposes of healing and restoration of balance, you may notice many similarities in style from throughout the world and across time.

To learn more about Cheryl and her work, she can be reached at: www.soul-fullgardens.com

The two masks below are in a friend's collection in New Mexico.

All of the masks below are on display at Neotropical Center (behind a glass case) in Sarapaqui Costa Rica and range in age from approximately 400 AD to the present.
